University of South Australia Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute (AMSI), and the Centre for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (CIAM) at the University of South Australia, sponsored this one-day workshop. The workshop featured nine prominent speakers and provided a unique opportunity to exchange ideas and discover new trends. Postgraduate students and early-career researchers from all walks of Applied Mathematics attended. The workshop covered new advances and trends in optimization and control, theory, numerical methods and applications.
