The 8th Annual AMSI Summer School was hosted by La Trobe University from 11 January to 5 February, 2010.

The organising committee, Grant Cairns, Brian Davey, Marcel Jackson, Chris Kozaris and Andriy Olenko presented an excellent program comprising seven subjects and a number of guest lectures.

There will be a number of other activities: some mathematical and some social.

This is an excellent opportunity for students to broaden their mathematical base, and to make useful connections with mathematics students and staff from around Australia. Past experience has shown that students find the summer school to be a very enjoyable and enriching experience.
