Access Grid Room Project

AMSI/ICE-EM established a network of Access Grid Rooms (AGRs) at AMSI member universities to enable greater collaboration between the mathematical sciences community both within Australia and internationally:

  • La Trobe University
  • RMIT University
  • The University of South Australia
  • The University of Wollongong
  • Victoria University
  • Monash University
  • The University of Southern Queensland
  • The University of Sydney
  • The University of Newcastle
  • Macquarie University in conjunction with the CMIS Division of CSIRO
  • University of Technology, Sydney

AGRs are used by AMSI member institutions in a variety of ways:

  • Seminars - broadcasting seminars, lectures and workshops
  • Subjects & Courses - providing additional honours and masters subjects
  • Collaborative research with peers within Australia and internationally
  • Undergraduate mathematics teaching
  • Professional development for mathematics teachers

Academic and AGR management related queries may be directed to Bill Blyth.

Please aim to have your AGR Quality Assured.

Funding for this project was provided by the Australian Government through the Department of Education, Science and Training (DEST).

Message to parents:
There have been recent reports in the media regarding high-pressure techniques used in the marketing and sale of computer based mathematics learning systems. The Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute (AMSI) is not in any way associated, connected or affiliated with companies or organisations involved in these activities, and does not endorse or vouch for such products in any way. Please see Consumer Affairs Victoria newletter, March 2008 "Parents warned about aggressive software sales."
