ICE-EM Mathematics sets a new benchmark for the teaching of mathematics in Australia. It was developed by ICE-EM to provide a mathematics program that gives students a clear understanding of the ideas and concepts of mathematics, and the skills to make effective use of them.

ICE-EM Mathematics is a comprehensive mathematics program for Upper Primary to Year 10. It comprises two textbooks per year level with Teacher Resource CD-ROMs; professional development for teachers; and ongoing teacher assistance by phone and email.

The program is designed to:
  • Help teachers carry out their role as mathematics educators more easily and effectively;
  • Make learning mathematics clearer and more straightforward for students; and
  • Enable parents to understand clearly what their children are learning and to assist them if they wish.

Program development

The writers and professional development leaders are highly regarded and experienced mathematics educators. The materials have a structured approach with clear explanations, and they have been carefully checked by mathematics experts to ensure correctness and consistency.

Care has been taken to ensure that teachers who use the ICE-EM Mathematics program can readily meet their state or territory curriculum requirements. The professional development for teachers is a valuable feature of the program.

ICE-EM Mathematics has its own dedicated website.

Message to parents:
