You will need to:
- Define your project
- Have an Industry Partner (may be company or private business, government, not-for-profit)
- Be a post-graduate student or a recent post-doc
- Have an academic mentor associated with an AMSI member institution.
AMSI is seeking to place 40 interns in the 2010/11 financial-year
Requirement
- Interns should be enrolled or working at an AMSI member university
- Mentors must be based at an AMSI member university
- Industry Partner Organisations need to be a legal entity operating in Australia with an Australian Office. This may include a Trust, a not-for-profit organization, a NGO, a charity, a government organisation, or a public/private business. The Partner organisation must have an ABN or an ACN
- The simple application process requires interested parties to complete a Project Expression of Interest (EOI) form and agree to the AMSI Industry Internship Program ‘Terms and Conditions’
- A mutually agreed Project Report will be required at the completion of each project.
Project Duration
- 4 or 5 months depending on the Intern’s experience, funding and the nature of the project.
Funding
- Industry Partner contributions:
- $12,000 for a 4-month project
- $15,000 for a 5-month project
- AMSI will invoice the industry partner and add an additional $5000 for the mentor and send project funds to the AMSI member University to administer.
