Prof. Celia Hoyles, former UK Government Advisor on Mathematics, presented successful strategies used to improve mathematics in the UK at The Australian Council of Heads of Mathematical Sciences meeting on Tuesday 16 February 2010.

Celia briefed the audience on the various measures put in place that have put the mathematical sciences on the front foot in England in particular.
